| especially if the job was not performed very well. Consider this like when people spend thousands of dollars into rebuilding an engine, only to have the garage who performs the labour mess up and the engine is never what the owner expected. The owner loses value on that engine, as he will never be able to sell it for what he put into it. This is the same with paint jobs. If the quality of that paint looks in real life like it does in the photo you posted, then the insurance company will not believe it to be valued at $12k. However, we all know photos do not always show the true beauty of custom colours, so I hope you have better photos available to show the insurance company.
